Bowman 0 - Live steam locomotive with tender.
Black livery, tender with inscription of the company LMS, London, Midlands and Scottish Railways.
In the early 1930s Bowman was marketed as a 'Garden Railway' with extremely robust rails. In 1931, this locomotive was able to cover 1.5 miles/2.4 km on a single charge of methylated-spirits and water!
The locomotive has been equipped with a methylated-spirits burner. Entirely original. Length including the tender is approx. 50 cm.
Operation checked about 2 years ago. Since then it has been kept dry and dust-free.
The model 234 locomotive is sold both separately and as part of a set with 2 carriages, please see elsewhere in this auction. Number of this Set was 23455.
It is possible that the tender is not entirely original but is still with the correct livery etc applied with respect for the original model. This has an LMS inscription there are in any case also units known to have inscriptions of the LNER and the Great Western.
The photos are an integral part of the description of this lot.
