Philips released this table radio gramophone combination type H4X74A in 1956.
This combination features tone control, built-in FM antenna, rotating AM ferrite antenna, 5 AM circuits, 6 FM circuits, The (mono) audio amplifier has 2 large, different speakers in series, for excellent sound reproduction.
Everything in a beautiful, walnut plano cabinet with extensive tuning scale.
At the time, the aircraft cost HFL 498.00.
The device has push buttons for Off, Pick-up, LG, MG and FM (UKW). The tuning is done with tuning buttons for AM and FM, as well as dials for timbre and volume. An additional speaker can also be connected.
The green tuning eye has been replaced by a new one, as well as the scale light.
The tube setting (8 pieces) is as follows: ECC85, ECH81, EF89, EF85, EABC80, EM80, EL84 and EZ80.
The built-in turntable is the Philips AG2004 with a mono crystal element AG3010 with 2 sapphire needles N and M (twisted for 78(N) and 45/33(M) of rev plates). This turntable is 100% and equipped with automatic exit. Radio and record player are where necessary, both overhauled.
