Original antique sword British model of the 19th century
Sword and scabbard from 1827 with lion head of British naval officers
It would have belonged to a noncommissioned officer since it has a black fish skin hilt instead of the white one worn by commissioned officers. This sword was manufactured by Manton & Co. and thus marked by the company's brand in the ricasso, also proven on the reverse by a 5-pointed star with initials in the gold centre. Both the hilt and the protector completely in perfect condition, the protector is not dented, it remains tight to the blade and the hilt has all its original wrapping of fish skin and the twisted wire in optimal condition, original of the sword. The folding protection lock is intact and works perfectly. The 31 1/2 inch blade, with its brilliant manufacturing colours. The decorated blade is in good condition. The scabbard is original of the sword, and decorated between leather and metal
