Seven volumes with a total of 322 hand-coloured illustrations of birds, 100 hand-coloured illustrations of eggs and 8 black and white illustrations of eggs. This concerns the new, extended edition of the octavo edition.
Bound in leather bindings with stamps and edges. The book blocks are gilded and the flyleaves are of marbled paper.
In good condition. The leather has some wear on the hinges, volume III, page 111 has a tear in the text page. Most title labels are absent. The gold on the spine is mostly gone. The leather is in good condition otherwise. A few illustrations with minor foxing as is usual.
