Lost wax casting bronze bust representing goddess Athena, with the head richly adorned with acanthus or vine leaf, the leaf is reversed compared to the one on the right. Beautiful vintage green patina, all mounted on a plexiglass pedestal. Height including pedestal: 15.4 cm, and 7.4 cm excluding pedestal. Roman period, 2nd/3rd century A.D.

Provenance: GORNY-MOSH auction, Germany then sold by Mr Jean Marc BARI, antique dealer, Nice, France.
