A nice copy, fresh despite the water stains on all of the pages, more pronounced at the front and end of the book, very discreet otherwise. (19th century)

A fundamental work, the "Discours de la Méthode" is divided into six parts. In the original edition of 1637 Descartes himself gives an overview at the beginning of the book: “En la première, on trouvera diverses considérations touchant les sciences.

Followed by 2 scientific memoirs, “La Dioptrique” and “Les Météores”, abundantly illustrated with woodcut figures.
