Gold titles and friezes and label of a previous library on the spine. An engraved portrait of the author on the frontispiece. Browning and a little mildew. Light stain at the bottom of the book and traces of moisture on the endpapers and on the first and last sheets. [M207] Mathieu de Montreuil, or Montereuil (Paris, 1620 - Aix-en-Provence, 1691), priest and man of letter, brother of the academic Jean de Montereul, was archbishop of Aix-en-Provence and secretary to the theologian Daniel de Cosnac.
