Ceramic group made by Edme Samson - France 1810-1891.
Edme Samson was also called the great imitator.
Today, sought-after by collectors for his great talent.
A noblewoman carried in a sedan chair by two servants with her lover. One of the carriers has three fingers missing, see pictures. The stick end has a tiny shortcoming, see pictures. There is a long crack under the base and part of the sedan chair, but it is likely a firing flaw.
The piece features a mark with cross and line on the bottom.
It is a large group.
