Beautiful Renault Floride in the beautiful colour combination of a red exterior with a beige leather interior and a beige soft-top.
This Renault Floride was newly delivered in Portugal in 1960, it was imported and registered in the Netherlands in 2017. The car has been owned by its 2nd owner since.
This Floride is in very neat condition, the new beige leather interior was recently fitted.
The body looks neat.
This is a Renault Floride with the characteristic louvres in the flanks, the car is in hard and rust-free condition.
The basis used was that of its predecessor, the Renault Dauphine. Renault did change the suspension for the “Aerostable principle”, which provides excellent spring comfort and driving pleasure. The 845cc engine with 40 hp will not deliver dynamic qualities, however it does ensure an enjoyable drive in an elegant touring vehicle with the luxury of an open top. The louvres on the rear mudguards serve to cool the car because of its 845cc engine which is located in the back of the car, this version is really unique. These are missing on the later versions of the Floride (the Floride S and the Caravelle).
This Renault is exempt for Dutch periodic inspections, it’s a really enthusiast’s car!
The Renault may have sustained some signs of wear and age over the years, see photos.
