RARE terracotta single handle jug with a bulbous body and short neck.

These vases have the shape of a poppy flower seed pod. Some say these were to hold the poppy-seed oil that was used in medicine then and the only known pain-killer.

Slightly chipped body otherwise a nice piece and intact. Stand included.
