Aleksandr Nikolaevic] Afanas'ev (1826-1871) had also recorded erotic material in the collection of his Russian folk tales (Narodnye russkie skazki, Moscow 1855-1858), which was to form a supplement band. The publication was only published posthumously in Geneva (1872) with a fake imprint and under the title Russkie zavetnye skazki (Forbidden Russian Narratives). A sequel has been announced, but at least it has not been published under this title. Possibly two other collections contain this material: Mez]du druz'jami (copy in the Bibliothque nationale, Paris) and the sequel Jumor russkogo naroda v skazkach (The humor of the Russian people in stories), both published in "Car'grad" without year. A reprint of the Russian text appeared in Geneva in 1879. Shortly before the beginning of the world war it was possible in Russia to integrate the Zavetnye skazki into an edition of the Russkie narodnye skazki (ed. v. A. E. Gruzinskij, Moscow: I. D. Sytin 1913-1914. 5 b. A translation into French, probably edited by Isidore Kopernicky and F. S. Krauss, appeared in the first volume of the Kryptadia (1883), with notes by Pitré. The well-known Erotica publisher Isidore Liseux published another French translation of Conte's secrets russes in 1891 using the cryptdia version.
