Description
Boxing - Floyd Patterson - Photograph
Very good - Hand signed, with COA

Floyd Patterson photograph with his autograph, with the phrase "To my Friend Julien Loreng, Health + Happiness, Floyd Patterson". The autograph is authentic and comes with a certificate of authenticity by Beckett with its identification number: V62506 (listed on the Beckett site).

The youngest of a poor family of eleven children, Floyd Patterson was destined more for the career of a thug than a star of the ring. At 10 years old, he was sent to a correctional facility. Four years latter, legendary coach Cus D'amato took him under his wing and transformed him. On 30th November 1956, he became the youngest world heavyweight champion by knocking out Archie Moore at the end of the 5th round: he was 21 years, 10 months, 3 weeks and 5 weeks old. Thirty years later, a 20 year, four month, 3 weeks and 2 days-old boxer beat his record for the youngest heavyweight champion and his name was Mike Tyson (another protégé of Cus D'amato).
