Frame and mirror (2) - Glass, Wood - First half 19th century

Lot consisting of:

1) Carved wooden frame and gilded stucco, corners decorated with medallions with plant volutes and ramage of leaves and flowers.
On the back it has a non contemporary metal hook for hanging on the wall. It is thick enough to be used for both a painting and a mirror.
Outer dimensions: 50 x 53 cm.
Inner dimensions: 44 x 40 cm.
There is some loss of gilding, restorations, missing parts.

2) Very old mirror, with 1 cm thick glass, coated on the back with silver salts.
Dimensions: 38 x 41 cm.
Preservation: silver salt losses, oxidation, chipping at the edges.

The frame and mirror can be used together as the dimensions of the mirror match the inner size of the frame. Shipped with separate packaging in the same box. It is up to the buyer to decide whether to assemble them or use them separately.
