Ancient Roman Silver Earrings with Roman glass

Silver earrings with fragments of ancient Roman glass in beautiful iridescent colours. The rainbow like colours change according to the angle of light and make every piece truly unique.

Length: 35,3 mm (including hooks)
Diameter: 12,1 mm maximum

Good solid condition, wearable (new hooks). Restrung with contemporary silver (.925) and spacer beads. Signs of wear consistent with age and use. See images.

Provenance: Eastern Mediterranean glass, modern silver. previously acquired on the European art market since the 1970's. The seller guarantees this piece is acquired in a legal manner. Related documents seen by Catawiki.
