Drivers: M. Schumacher & Eddie Irvine.
At auction a beautiful connecting rod complete with piston, mounted and used on the F1 Ferrari F300 single-seater which debuted at the 1998 Australian GP and obtained 6 wins, 3 pole positions and 6 fastest laps during the season.
In total, the F300 achieved six wins and two doubles in the 1998 Formula 1 season, scoring 133 points in the constructors’ championship, 86 obtained by Schumacher and 47 by Irvine.
The engine was the type 047 with 10 V-cylinders and an engine displacement of 2,997 cc.
As you can see in the photos, the connecting rod and piston were used in the race, so this lot is even rarer.
There are several signs of wear due to use in the race and over time, as it has almost 25 years of history, the screws on the connecting rod eye are a bit rusty.
No reserve price!
This piece of memorabilia will be shipped with a Ferrari F1 Gestione Sportiva bag, as you can see in the photos, which are an integral part of the description.
