Four numbered volumes I, II, III, IIII, with typographic friezes on each title page, drop caps and 25 copper engraved plates folded out of text. Coeval rough paper binding with leather-lined spines, marbled paper and handwritten titles. With good margins, deckle edges and preserved in very good condition. This is the most important work by philosopher and mathematician Girolamo Ferrari of Brescia (1701-1754).
