Composition, oil on canvas, in the vein of famous Baroque artist Domenico Piola from Genoa (Genoa, 1627 – Genoa, 8th April 1703). One of the main exponents of the Genoese Baroque, Piola became the owner of the most established painting workshop in Genoa and one of the protagonists of the great Genoese decorative projects of the second half of the 17th century. The Doria, Spinola, Balbi and all the important families of the city turned to his workshop to decorate their palaces and to acquire sacred and mythological paintings. Preserved in very good condition, already restored. Important carved and gilded wooden frame, with some restorations and missing parts. The frame is kindly offered as a gift, therefore we do not accept any claims and are not responsible for any damage during transport. Canvas size: 141.5 x 109. The work comes with expert report by Prof. Piero Torriti, who attributes it to Domenico Piola.
