1936 Railton Fairmile 3 Position Drop Head Coupe - 1:43 Scale in White Metal by Brooklin Models.
The model is sold in a beautiful original box.
The Railton was one of the first British cars to employ traditional coachwork, with an unstressed American engine, in this case Hudson. Performance was startling with 60 mph in under 10 seconds. Although the car was badged as a Railton, Reid Railton, the famous engineer and designer, had nothing to do with the car which was the brainchild of Noel Macklin. Railton agreed to the use of his name in return for a commission on each car sold.
Entirely handmade, made and designed in Bath, England.
