Vol. VI: Triumph and Tragedy (1954) -- xviii, 716 pp.
Black cloth bindings with gilt titles to spine, complete with all maps and diagrams, many of which are folding and coloured. Dust jackets held in protective sleeves.
Some fading to the spines of the dust jackets, with small chips and loss, mainly along the upper edges. Jackets not price clipped. The black cloth covers are clean and in very good condition. Some minor spotting to the interior of Vol. III-V, though this is mainly limited to the page edges. Books have slightly musty odour. Bindings firm, no loose pages, owner inscription to front endpaper of Vol. VI, no bookplates.
Overall a very good set of this first edition with original dust jackets.
