Rare atlas intended to accompany the third edition of the famous "Histoire de Paris" by Dulaure (published in 1821-1822 without the Atlas) which is often missing.
Illustrated with 5 gorgeous fold-out maps intaglio engraved and enhanced in colour at the time including the superb “Plan de Paris en 1825” drawn up by Achin (48 x 62cm) as well as “Paris sous la domination romaine” (27 x 31), “Paris sous Philippe Auguste” (27 x 37), “Paris sous François Ier” (26.5 x 36), “Paris sous Louis XIII” (26 x 36).

Good copy, sturdy binding, leather is slightly rubbed from use. Maps in excellent condition, good prints on strong vellum paper. The laid paper of the text has foxing, a trace of dampstain in the corner and abrasions in the top margin of pp 41-48 without reaching the text.
