Deluxe German Hunting Cutlass by Carl Eickhorn 1935
Very Good Condition

The hilt is brass gilded, decorated with overlapping oak leaves. The stag grip plates on both sides are equipped with gilded acorns, two oak leaves on the top of each nut. The clamshell features a wood grouse on an oak branch.

The blade shows a hunting scene with a hunter about to shoot a stag that is running off with his doe and a woodcock. On the reverse of the blade is Eickhorn’s maker mark (that was used from 1935 to 1941). Also on the reverse is another scene showing a pack of dogs working together to bring down a boar with a hunter close behind and a wood grouse. The back of the blade features a thin oak branch with leafs on each side.

The scabbard is made from black leather and has brass gilded mounts. Upper mount with an acorn lug. The lower mount has the deluxe panel featuring a large stag within a forest glen. The lower button has pearled devices which run around the circumference.
The condition is very good, no damages, cracks or oxidation. Please view the pictures for your own impression.
