Dinosaur jaw - Tyrannosauridae - 360 mm

Description
Dinosaur jaw - Tyrannosauridae - 360 mm
Cretaceous (66 - 70 mil y) - Zhetysu, Kazakhstan

Phenomenal upper jaw of a dinosaur belonging to the family of Tyrannosaurus rex. The jaw was found in eastern Kazakhstan. Based on the shape and position of the teeth, it is 100% certain that this is a Tyrannosauridae, but unfortunately not enough fossil remains have been found at this site to tell whether this is a Tarbosaurus or a Tyrannosaurus.
The jaw was found in the second half of the previous century and was prepared with the means that were available back then. We left the jaw as it is and carried out only a few restorations (>5%). The jaw contains 16 teeth in total and all teeth are in position as found (no teeth where added).
Beautiful, extremely rare jaw in very good condition.
