NWA 869 METEORITE. Lot. Chondrite L3-6. - 54 g

50 grams of magnificent specimens of the famous NWA 869 meteorite, the largest rock type known to the world until today. It is an ordinary breached chondrite, classified as L3-3-6. The dispersal area is located in the vicinity of Tindouf, Algeria, also spreads to the border with Morocco.

Its estimated age of formation is 4,500 million years (origin of the Solar System). Chondrites are fragments of material that did not become part of any major planet, and remained free in space, in the form of asteroids of different size.

This lot includes a wooden box with sand from the Sahara desert, where these meteorites were found.

A good opportunity to add a piece of the most famous classified chondrite in the world to your collection.
