Two interesting volumes of the prestigious Derrière le Miroir series by Maeght Editeur Paris.
No. 141 CALDER. Published in 1963 for the exhibition of 6 great works at the Maeght Gallery. It contains 8 original colour lithographs (3 on double page), made by Calder for this edition, as well as numerous photographs. The volume is divided into 32 pages (including cover) with loose sheets, thick paper of 170 gr in the usual 38x28 cm format; accompanied by the 4-page Cronique magazine with drawings by Calder.
No. 195 Maeght Editeur. Released in 1971 with an original lithograph by UBAC as the cover. Inside it contains several colour lithographs by: MIRO' (3 lithographs of which 1 on double page), TAPIES, RIOPELLE, reproduction of a drawing by GIACOMETTI, and works by 7 other important artists, which reproduce works published by Maeght. The volume is divided into 28 pages with loose sheets of 200 gr card stock, plus 6 pages with illustrations dedicated to STEINBERG, size 38x28 cm. The spine is slightly damaged, some slightly yellowed edges and folds but overall in good condition.
