Please note:

The phoenix is one of the four celestial, supernatural and beneficial animals of ancient China. While the dragon is a clever combination of different animals, the phoenix is also a force to be reckoned with! It has a rooster's head, a mandarin duck's neck, a peacock's back, a pheasant's tail and the legs of a crane.
It is the emblem of the Empress, the Emperor has the Dragon.

Beauty, kindness, peace, and wealth are also the hallmarks of this bird!
In some cases, it is associated with ideograms of "double happiness". Immortality is also part of the symbolic array: The phoenix is one of the mounts of the immortals and therefore is a symbol of life and immortality.

In China, the Fenghuang is a mythical bird that reigns over all other birds. For some, the Feng would be the male phoenix, and the Huang the female phoenix, the two words together symbolise union and marital happiness.
