2006 Chateau Sénéjac - Haut-Médoc Cru Bourgeois - 12 Flessen (0.75 liter)
In originele houten kist - Rode wijn - Frankrijk - 87/100 points, Robert Parker

You buy from the 1st owner. Wine was stored in cellar since purchase in 2009.

Located on deep gravelly soils in the village of Le Pian, Sénéjac is a 39-hectare property with vines averaging 35 years of age. The wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vessels, then aged for 12-15 months in 30%-new oak barrels. With a black fruit backbone and hints of graphite and mocha, this wine offers a sense of pedigree and opulence. Polished tannins and good balance make it immediately approachable. Now fully mature and ready to enjoy. Decant before serving.

About the domain
Château Sénéjac is a superb traditional Médocan house. 40 hectares are dedicated to wine on the commune of Le Pian-Médoc in the Haut-Médoc appellation - in the southern part of Médoc. The château was bought by Lorraine Cordier in 1999, also owner of Château Talbot. The quality has improved tremendously in recent vintages and we recommend to follow this cru. After the death of Lorraine Cordier, her sister Nancy Bignon-Cordier took over the property.

About the cuvée
Vinified according to traditional methods, Château Sénéjac wines offer tremendous elegance. Aged in oak barrels for one year, this wine develops fruity, floral aromas, combined with spicy notes. Perfectly balanced and with superb complexity, this is an extremely elegant wine.
