Very rare antique anatomical model of the human body.
Made entirely from plaster, life-size.
Europe, mid 20th century, PHYWE.
A truly magnificent torso.
From the well-known manufacturer Somso/Phywe. Complete.
Antique anatomical models are often recognizable by the addition of a loin cloth to preserve decency.
Issued in the first half of the twentieth century.
The following organs are removable:
Lungs 2 x
Heart (two pieces)
Also many other organs attached to the torso.
The torso itself is of a kind of fiberglass and the removable organs are made of plaster.
The higher quality of the organs can be seen because the material is better, firmer and thicker than the average torsos. There are also many more details. Normally such details are not or hardly present.
The torso is in good condition for its age. A little bit of damage here and there. Nice patina.
See photos for a good impression.
In good condition considering the age, see the photos.
Dimensions: 67 x 42 x 27 cm.
