2009 Château Beychevelle is a wine estate in the Saint-Julien appellation of the Médoc. The Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant wine is known for its supple power and smooth, rich texture, and better vintages have great aging ability. In the Bordeaux Classification of 1855 it was ranked a fourth growth.
Beychevelle is one of the most impressive castles in the Médoc and so is the wine. Under the leadership of Philippe Blanc, this 4th Grand Cru Classé has developed into a large wine with a large fan base in England but also in Asia. The wine tastes rich and full of a delicious chocolate edge. Almost sweet full of ripe fruit. A powerful, richly varied wine that has great maturation potential.
