Photograph taken on June 28th, 2018, Oran-Algeria, Old Oran, Sidi El Houari district. View of the minaret of the Pearl Square Mosque from the site of the ancient Turkish baths. The Pearl Square Mosque was built by the Ottomans, with very rare ornaments. There are only four similar buildings in the world, including one in Oran.
Nora Zaïr, born in 1971, is a street photographer and documentary photographer. She lives and works in Oran (Algeria).
She was at the Cité internationale des arts in 2019 and took part in many exhibitions in Algeria and Europe in recent years, including the Strasbourg Photography Festival in 2018. Personal exhibition in Vienna (Austria) in April 2019.
