You are bidding on selected inclusions from one of the largest collections in Germany, which consists of amber from all over the world (Baltics, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Burma), and I am offering them for auction for reasons of age.
Authenticity, quality and rarity are guaranteed, partly suitable for museums, constituting an estimated percentage of e.g. under 1% of all finds.
Dominican amber is found on the island of Hispaniola, almost exclusively in the sovereign territory of the Dominican Republic. When it comes to world-wide amber deposits, Dominican amber has the most significance after Baltic amber, as far as richness of fossil inclusions is concerned.
In a clear very large jewellery cabochon (5.3 x 2.3 x 1.6 cm) is a well placed huge leaf (2.5 cm with stem) of the Dominican amber tree enclosed, best and completely preserved with air bubbles and well placed.
An attractive and exclusive exhibit, also predestined for the jewellery lover in terms of size and quality!
A great rarity in Dominican Amber.
3 multilayer shots are attached, where each millimetre has been photographed approx. 20 times.
