The high mail trunk from Goyard with its chevron canvas
A luxury mail trunk corresponds to a travel size from the period between 1870 and 1940. It was the transporter who came to pick up the trunks at home, to take them to the resort. The shipping agent was called the courier...
The exterior is characteristic of Goyard luxury trunks
The chevron canvas is the precise representation of Goyard, acronyms of great finesse, reminiscent of geometric shapes in 3D.
Its initials on each side represent the surname - first name of the owner. The stable bands recalled the colours of the family crest, and made it possible, at the time, to easily group trunks by family. A couple with two children left with around fifty trunks. So facilitating their gathering was fundamental.
The Goyard brand is one of the biggest luxury trunk brands in Europe.
