Lens: "Summitar", f = 5cm, 1:2, Ernst Leitz, Wetzlar, factory number: 530417*, Material: Non-ferrous metal, chrome-plated. The lens has a serial number followed by a star as a special feature. This indicates a double delivery/replacement delivery.

Note: The engraving air force property on the back of the cap and on the standby bag has been removed. This happened very often after the war. There is no special entry in the Leitz/Leica delivery books for the camera or the lens, but James Lager shows the Leica IIIc with the number 361710 with identical air forces engravings in "Leica – An illustrated history" Volume 1 on page 97!
General: The Leica IIIc was manufactured in 1940 and is one of the models used by the military, among others.
For this reason, the IIIc sometimes contains cameras with appropriate engravings and detailed technical solutions that have not been used in other Leica models.
