An exquisite example of Bohemian garnet jewelry from the Victorian (ca 1880) era. This wonderful festoon style necklace is crafted in gilded brass and displays a stunning floral design encrusted with old rose faceted garnet stones. The piece is comprised of floral shaped links that gradually become larger in size towards the center, each one adorned with vibrant prong set garnet stones. Dangling from the center are beautiful garnet-lined links that graduate in size, creating a wonderful festoon style appeal. Each stone exhibits a fantastic deep red hue, with facets that reflect the light beautifully with every turn. The necklace fastens in the back with a simple push clasp seamlessly hidden within the final floral link, allowing the necklace to drape beautifully below the neckline.

Measurements: The necklace measures approximately 46cm long. The largest of the graduated garnet cluster links is 20mm in diameter. The smallest link measures ca. 6.3mm in diameter. The dangling link at the center hangs about 20mm long.
Bohemian rose cut garnets approx. 70ct. in total. - 27 links in rosette shape and 7 moving suspentions in total.
Condition: The overall condition of the necklace is excellent. There is no apparent damage to the gilded brass and all of the garnet stones are intact. The clasp is secure and in good working condition.
