A very rare pen: A pioneer mod. 191P, with injection moulded resin body, gold nib with support, and lever filler refill system. The pen is perfect in all its parts.
A bit of history: The Pioneer was nothing more than the luxury line of Wearever pens, they were much more accurate in materials, aesthetics and above all in the nib, rigorously made of gold. Wearever owner David Kahn made cheap pens but held some unique patents, such as the injection molded resin system. Moreover, to save on gold nibs, he patented a support that increased the surface and stability of the nib and allowed him to build undersized nibs. But the Pioneer line was Wearever's luxury line.
In fact, the pen’s play of colours is remarkable, they look like flames, and holding it is a marvel.
The pen is perfect, writes very well and is a very rare piece, so let collectors step forward.
