Painting made by the painter Daniel Mühlhaus, also known as Daan Muehlhaus.
Daan Muehlhaus was born in Dordrecht in 1907 and died there in 1981. He worked a lot around his native region and is counted among the artists' circle of Dordrecht Impressionists. Especially the collaboration with his painter colleague Cor Noltee had a lot of influence on his work. So are study trips to France, Italy and Spain. Daniel Muehlhaus painted, watercolors and drew cityscapes, landscapes, still lifes in the Impressionist style.
The port of Rotterdam was a favorite place of Muehlhaus.
The painter depicted the port of Rotterdam in rainy, gloomy weather, with bridges in the background.
in extremely good condition.
Size of the canvas 60 x 80 cm.
The work is in a white wooden frame, which highlights its colors well,
there are small signs of use on the frame,
but not disturbed.
