This is a beautiful brass early microscope, made by Nachet et Fils, Paris.
It can be dated as early as 1860, because of the address, which is rue Serpente 16 in Paris. Comes in a mahogany box and seperate bullseye condensor on stand. There is smaller bullseye condensor on the front, a 1 sided adjustable mirror, diafragm rotating ring under the stage. A small case with 3 sets of objectives, 2 eyepieces, a original drawing prism. Draw tube focus and fine adjustment on top of the pillar.
This microscope is in very good condition, solid and very well crafted. There is a sample picture, part of a mosquito, slide not included.
The mahogany case has a crack in the top lid. Weight all together is over 3kg.
Foot diameter : 8.3cm.
Box dimensions :11x17x27,5cm.
