The Ambassador is another beautiful American pen, it is made in marbled green celluloid and features a 14kt gold nib. The pen is wonderful, as shown in the photos, and the nib smoothly dispenses ink. The pen has been overhauled in all its parts and equipped with a new ink sac.
Unfortunately, the ring on the cap is missing, but it is plausible, after all the pen dates all the way back to the 1930s.
The pen comes from the city of New York, where in 1915 Jacob and Emanuel Harris founded their pen manufacturing company. A few years later, the company changed its name in ‘Majestic Pen Comes’, which owned several brands, in addition to the Ambassadors they also had the Majestic and Congress. The company shut down in the 1950s, like many others.
The pen remains an important testimony of American celluloid pens.
