Early Swiss chronograph by DOXA
This Swiss watch company was founded by Georges Ducommun in Le Locle in 1889. After Ducommun's death, his son-in-law, Jacques Nardin, son of the famous chronometrician Paul David Nardin, took over the DOXA company. Jaques Nardin focused on the production of wristwatches.
The watch was manufactured around 1948.
Watch size 36 mm without crown - with crown 38 mm - weight 45 g
Dial with patina - original condition. Arabic numerals in gold colour 12/6. In between point indices. Two sub-dials. Small seconds at nine o'clock and 30 minute counter at three o'clock. Original hands gold coloured. Gold-coloured chronograph hand. Telemeter scale in red - minute scale and further scale - original dial
signed DOXA. Swiss Made below the six.
Movement: original silver-coloured Landeron 48 calibre in original condition - an esteemed calibre amongst collectors. Chatons and gold wheels. Signed Doxa Swiss.

Steel back - chrome-plated case.
On the back lid Doxa company logo made in Switzerland Fond Acier Inooxydable (capitals). Decorative engraved pattern on the inside.
The watch is in a very good, original, slightly used condition.
Fine black leather strap 18 mm - length with watch 23.5 cm. Leather strap will not be delivered to countries outside of the EU.
