Léonard Frédéric Nardin (* 1792) was the first watchmaker of the family. His son, Ulysse (1823–1876), founded a watch factory in Le Locle, Switzerland in 1846, which was taken over by his son, Paul David who was not yet 20 years old, following the sudden death of its founder.

The classic, smooth casing is made of 14 kt (0.585), has a metal inner lid.
The dial is gold and in very good condition. Beautiful, playful Arabic numerals in black, interconnected bar minute scale. Fine, filigree, original, steel hands - blued and with decorations. Dial below the 12 is signed with Ulyssee Nadin Locle Geneve. Small recessed seconds at 6 o'clock.

The back lid bears multiple hallmarks, 14 K 0,585 and more.
On the lid is a dedication for 25 faithful years of service dated 21st October 1932.
