Stoneware firing temperature: 1240 °C.
The features of this series inspired by the Eastern world are the textured enamels with finish ranging from glossy to satin and from mineral to metallic.
Each bowl is designed and decorated with enamels in harmony or in contrast to each other, often with formation of willingly random graphic signs.
These solid, hand-crafted pieces with their simple elegance suit every space especially a minimalist or a wooden interior.
Max Modolo makes these ceramic pieces in his Italian atelier.
His research focuses both on the design and on the surface finish of the ceramic pieces.
He is very interested in the effects of glazes obtained by some Italian artists such as Guido Gambone and Marcello Fantoni and he has always felt attracted by the shapes created by Lucie Rie and Hans Coper.
