Book of prayers Dala’il al-Khayrat, Northern Africa, 19th century (1900?).
Small square book of prayers, complete, 264 pages, on paper, 9 lines of text per page in Maghribi Arabic writing in brown ink, some terms in red or blue ink. The titles are written in red and blue ink in frames highlighted with gold and polychromy, flanked by a marginal medallion. Double pages illuminated in gold and polychromy with the stylised depiction of the Mecca sanctuary and Medina mosque. Binding with flaps in brown leather with a polylobed medallion stamped on the centre adorned with interlacing and surrounded by four fleurons.
Dimensions of the binding: 8.5 x 9.5 cm.
Condition: good condition, with a few stains, but minor.
Small manuscript with its genuine leather case.
