1. Beautiful decorated, engraved and saw-pierced, Silver plated Serving Dish with a mobile handle, made by the famous Walker & Hall, in 1891 ( according with hallmarks, the date letter greek θ 'theta' in that type of shield, suggest the year 1891). The Greek alphabet in his date marking was used between 1885-1905.
Walker & Hall business was established in Sheffield in 1845 by George Walker, who secured the royalty of electroplating for Sheffield . The business was joined by Henry Hall and became in 1853 Walker & Hall.
Item is hallmarked on the backside with the trademark logo, date letter: "greek theta - θ" and with Reg number 807.
