LOUIS XIV (1638-1715), French King

Document signed with a handwritten word "bon", Saint-Germain-en-Laye, 10th February 1670.

Very rare SIGNED Document in his own hand With one handwritten word "bon" ('Good').

99% of the documents signed "Louis" are in fact signed by his secretaire. Only on this kind of financial document, the King was compelled to sign himself with the word "bon" to approve of the expense. That's why autograph signatures from the King himself are rare. Here, the signature was crossed after the payment.

In this document, Louis XIV orders to the Guard of his Royal Treasure to pay to Mr Mydorge the amount of 500 pounds that he has given as advance for taxes. These taxes are concerning some families in the city of Angers for the confirmation of their nobility titles.

The famous Minister of Finance Jean-Baptiste Colbert had added one line in his own hand to precise in which funds this amount has to be paid.

Louis XIV signed "bon, Louis" in his own hand.

Framed but will be unframed for the shipping for safety reasons.

Professional dealer. Certificate of authenticity on request.
