Mandarijn hoed kruisbloem - Agaat, Verguld - China - Qing Dynastie (1644-1911)

An intricately cast and chiseled hat finial, measuring 14cm in height and weighing 125g, made of gold plated brass and surmounted with a facet cut white banded agate, decorated to the front with a clear glass bead.

Condition: Very good, no damages or repairs. Miniscule fault to one edge of the agate, visible under magnification.

Reference: An almost identical finial was sold at RM Auctions on 31-10-20, lot 118 (catalogued as 18th century). See also Christies, The Rende Zhai Collection, 16-12-2014, lot 78 for a similar piece.
