Eusebius of Caesarea (Latin: Eusebius Caesariensis), born 260/64 in Palestine; died 339 or 340 in Caesarea. A theologian and Christian historian of late antiquity, father of the Church.

Period full vellum binding, Some lacks of vellum on the binding (near the spine).
The title page has an angular lack of paper, without loss of text (see photos).
A crossed out handwritten mention on the bottom of the title page.
Water stains on some pages (predominantly only in the margin and not flowing into the text). Foxing.

First edition of this work, published by Marcus Hopper, Graesse.
Two pieces in one volume, with a frontispiece, printer's mark and engraved initials. Volume 1 contains: "De evangelia praeparatione; De evangelia demonstratione; De historia ecclesiastica; De vita Constantini; De philosophorum circa res naturales et mundi partes dissensione." Volume 2: "Chronicon".
