Henry Jacques / Georges Van Houten - Moulin Rouge - 1925

In-4to, approx 29 x 24 cm, pp. 29 + 40 tipped-in plates + 29, original paperback on brown paper with title and colour lithograph on the front plate, black title on the spine, with protective plastic, lithographs with protective tissue paper, on Papier vélin d’Arches. In excellent condition (see photos).
Text in French and English after the plates, 40 original lithographs by Georges Van Houten, many of them in colour, signed with monogram on the plates, copy 273 out of 500 numbered ones.
The lithographs illustrate the Parisian nightlife of the 1920s: cancan dancers, jazz musicians, night parties, orchestras, gentlemen, cabaret atmosphere, etc.
