On offer: two rare Record Store Day special edition singles from Pink Floyd and St. Paul & The Broken Bones.

Single 1 - "See Emily Play" was the second single released by Pink Floyd in 1967. Syd Barrett wrote the song, which would later be included in "The 500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll" of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It is a beautiful psychedelic and poetic song.

This mono reissue of "See Emily Play" on 7" pink vinyl (45 RPM) was part of a limited edition of 5.000 copies that came out on Columbia DB 8214 at the occasion of Record Store Day 2013 in the UK. The single is housed in a reproduction label stock sleeve with an 8" card backing with artwork from the 1967 German release of the single, and includes a 7" x 16" replica display poster. It's never been played, everything is in Mint condition.

Single 2 - "Sing A Simple Song" (B-side "Moonage Daydream" written by David Bowie) is another special edition, issued at the occasion of the Record Store Day 2015 in the US. This 6" crimson coloured vinyl (33 1/3 RPM) was issued on Single Lock records and has the shape of the US state Alabama, which refers to the 2014 concert at the Alabama Theatre where the recordings were made. The vinyl is Mint, has never been played.

St. Paul and The Broken Bones is somehat less known than Pink Floyd :). They are a six-piece soul band from Birmingham, Alabama, United States that formed in 2012. Vocalist Paul Janeway has an incredible strong voice, developed and trained in the church where he stretched his vocal cords to the limits. This is dynamic music, with blues elements and strong brass sections, it is retro - think of old-school soul in its purest form (Otis Redding). It is nice.
