The first, the “Bully” bison (ref. 1458/17), measures approximately 20 cm. Made of brown mohair on a cotton base with felt horns and a hand-stitched nose, it retains its gold-plated “Knopf im Ohr” button and a partial yellow tag confirming authenticity. Produced in the 1960s–1970s and listed in Steiff Sortiment 1947–1999 (p. 314). The bison’s color may appear slightly different across the photos due to variations in lighting (some taken with, others without direct light). In reality, its tones are harmonious and undissociated — a warm golden-brown typical of Steiff mohair from this period. The plush remains firm and well-kept, with only minor wear consistent with age. The second, a black panther (ref. EAN 5322/35), was made between 1972 and 1975. Crafted from Dralon Masse 73 synthetic fur (20 % Rallon, 20 % Voilant, 27 % Masse, 33 % acrylic), it features a dense velvety coat, amber glass eyes, and a pink-orange embroidered nose.
