Daniel Arsham (1980) - Future Relic 09 Keyboard
Daniel Arsham Future Relic 09 Keyboard (Edition of 500)
FUTURE RELIC 09 presents an archetypal keyboard that Arsham casts from a mixture of plaster and glass particles. Arsham’s petrified objects serve as anthropological relics, in this case a mimic of a vintage Casio Casiotone MT-500 keyboard. He imagines these objects buried for years, later discovered in an archeological dig, but regardless of specific time lapse, a Future Relic signifies obsolete technology, a signal of human progress or an entropic future.
