Beskrivelse fra selgeren

Maki-e Japanese SAKE Decanter Sake cup Tray table.
liqueur set New Year's sake set

This is a set of sake vessels made of high-quality Japanese lacquerware, WAJIMA's NIHONSHU's liqueur set.

The toso vessel is a set of sake vessels for New Year's celebratory sake, consisting of three cups (small, medium, and large), a choshi (a sake cup), and a tray.

This work is decorated with natural lacquer and maki-e.

What is maki-e?

It is a technique in which pictures, patterns, and letters are drawn on the surface of lacquerware with lacquer, and before the lacquer dries, metal powder such as gold and silver is sprinkled on the surface to fix it.
It is treated as a luxury item because it is gorgeous and time-consuming.

The maki-e depicts pine, bamboo, and plum.
Pine, bamboo, and plum are lucky charms in Japan.
They have the following meanings.

Pine: Remains green even in winter and has a long lifespan, so it represents peace and longevity.
Bamboo: Remains green even in winter and does not break in snow, so it represents safety.
Plum: Remains beautiful flowers even in the snow, so it represents vitality and gaiety.

Pine, bamboo, and plum are all auspicious items used for celebrations because they can withstand the cold of winter.

The condition is good, so there are no scratches on the lacquer.

The condition is satisfactory to the buyer.
